Nurse Manager

Nurse Manager will uphold TotalCare’s nursing policies and procedures in congruence with Texas Board of Nursing regulations. The Nurse Manager reports to the Director of Nursing.

TotalCare herein will clearly define the authority and responsibility of said person. Qualified RN:

  • –  Registered Nurse (RN) with minimum of an Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree
  • –  Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Emergency Room RN
  • –  Current BLS, ACLS, & PALS certificationSupervision of personnel performance:
  • –  Oversee the clinical performance of all RN’s through skills evaluation and assessments
  • –  Weekly one-on-one meetings to support growth and education of the RNs.
  • –  Respond to any nursing-related issues in a timely manner
  • –  Precept new nursing staff membersSupervision of patient care:
  • –  Perform direct patient care as full-time clinical staff member
  • –  Manage RN schedule to ensure sufficient staffing
  • –  Monthly chart reviews to evaluate patient safetyAssist Facility Administrator with:
  • –  Facility cleanliness
  • –  Reporting of patient safety concerns
  • –  Medical InventoryAssist Director of Nursing with:
  • –  Supporting clinical and patient-care standards of TotalCare
  • –  Supporting the short-term and long-term goals of the nursing department
  • –  Assessing and evaluating nurse team members
  • –  Nurse and staff development
  • –  Hiring and onboarding of nursing personnel
  • –  Employee Health
