The Director of Operations is a hands-on leader who provides strategic leadership and vision, resource development, and operational oversight for the TotalCare Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)(3). This position champions the Foundation's mission, expands local and international healthcare programs, drives major gift fundraising, and ensures compliant non-profit operations. The role requires exemplary personal integrity and alignment with organizational values, embodying compassion, service excellence, and transparent leadership in every interaction. Job Description

Responsibilities
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy; cultivate, solicit, and close major gifts, sponsorships, and grants
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Build recurring giving programs, corporate sponsorships, and strategic community partnerships
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Serve as primary representative to community leaders, donor networks, healthcare partners, and corporate sponsors
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Establish multi-year strategic goals and direct international mission initiatives and local healthcare assistance programs
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Oversee Foundation budgeting, CRM systems, donor stewardship, and full 501(c)(3) regulatory compliance
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Coordinate the end-to-end planning, logistics, venue and vendor negotiations, committee leadership, budget management, sponsorship opportunities and execution of the annual TotalCare Foundation gala benefit to maximize donor engagement and revenue
- Strategic Growth & Mission Oversight: Partner with executive leadership and the Board to establish and execute on long-term vision, growth strategies, and impact metrics
- Strategic Growth & Mission Oversight: Provide leadership and oversight for local healthcare assistance programs and international mission initiatives
- Operations, Compliance & Team Leadership: Maintain strong financial stewardship, budgeting, and 501(c)(3) compliance
- Operations, Compliance & Team Leadership: Lead administrative staff and volunteers, fostering an inclusive, accountable, and high-performing culture
- Actively participate in and contribute to executive, departmental, and leadership meetings to foster cross-functional alignment and accountability
- Exercise high professional accountability, managing workload and operational priorities effectively to deliver on organizational objectives
- Serve as a primary ambassador for the TotalCare Foundation, building public trust and strengthening corporate and community partnerships
- Execute additional strategic initiatives and special projects as requested by Executive Leadership or the Governing Board
Requirements
- Strong financial acumen and expertise in 501(c)(3) regulatory compliance and fiscal stewardship
- Proven major gift fundraising, donor cultivation, and strategic partnership development skills
- Strategic vision and operational leadership to guide growing non-profit programs and healthcare initiatives
- Exceptional written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills for international mission work and donor engagement
- The routine duties of this position involve a moderate to low level of exposure to Protected Health Information (PHI); strict adherence to HIPAA regulations is required at all times

Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Non-Profit Management, or Business required; Master's preferred
- Minimum 5 years of senior non-profit leadership experience with a proven track record in major gift fundraising and donor development
- Experience in non-profit healthcare, hospital foundations, global health, or international mission work strongly preferred

Supervisory Responsibility
Directly supervise Foundation staff, conducting regular 1-on-1s, performance evaluations, and team leadership.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, and view/operate standard computer equipment for extended periods. Occasional physical exertion may be required during event setup/teardown and mission field activities. Must effectively exchange clear, accurate information with donors, board members, healthcare partners, staff, and community members. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Work Environment
Primary duties are performed in a standard indoor office setting, with periodic local and international travel required for mission trips, community engagement, and fundraising events. Minimal risk of exposure to hazardous conditions or contagions; proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided when required. Travel Requirements: Travel between TotalCare facilities, administration buildings, and/or local off-site venues for meetings or special events will arise and is considered within the scope of this position. International travel is to be expected; must have an active passport (or obtain one within the first 90 days of hire) and be able to legally leave and re-enter the United States.
